Mayday

Had to take the day off work today. The kid wasn't feelin' too well.
She'd been sick all weekend...sick at the stomach, and sitting out in the sun in 70 degree weather with her sweater and jacket zipped all the way up to her neck, and STILL she was cold.

Took her to the emergency room. They ran the usual litany of tests, but couldn't find anything. I wonder about that hospital sometimes. I have my doubts if they actually know what they're doing sometimes, or if they aren't missing something.

I was ready for them to admit her for a couple days, but alas, she was sent home without even a lollypop.

Back to work tomorrow, and she'll be home all alone again...
