The tree is gone

Those of you who know of my Storm Artists account, know I've posted a couple pictures of a beautiful tree (found here and here). What most folks don't know is that was out at The Kid's nursing home.

As you can tell, that beautiful tree is no more. I noticed it after visiting with her today...walked out the door was nearly knocked off my feet at the sight.

Went back in and talked to one of the nurses. Seems that old tree was a victim of a lightning strike from the bad thuderstorms we had last Thursday.

Such a shame. That was a beautiful tree.

At least we have the photos to remember it by.

I really liked that tree.

yeah that is a shame, I like the second photo there a lot.

I always hate having to cut down trees around here, not like we are running short of them though. Damn woods. lol

wow, a lightning strike... that must have been scary to look at, but it's "good" to know they didn't cut it for some stupid reason

it's a shame we won't see more pictures of it anymore :(

They said it was amazing no cars were damaged. There's parking to the right of there...as well as gas meters.

It's sad indeed.

Another sad note...the great Scooter...Phil Rizzuto died Monday night at the age of 89.

"Holy Cow!"...

Been awhile! Must apologise, haven't been able to swing past to see how you've been due to usually only lasting 20-30 minutes online.... stupid phone lines are playing up, and we've got a crossed line with our next door neighbour!

i'm all updated now tho!

Shame about the tree, those shots you have on SA are great :D
